Here is a quick guide to help you determine your drive, which of course will also determine the difficulty level in modding your 360. I have been asked. NO modding your 360 is NOT illegal. But it DOES VOID your warrenty. So you have been warned.
The BenQ drive was also introduced in the Elite and later Premium and Arcade packages.
You can open the tray and look where the holes are to determine the DVD drive you own.

Firmware
Every drive has a firmware printed on top of the drive, this requires you to open the console and look at the topside of the DVD-ROM drive.

Use this along side the other listed tutorials for modding your 360. Personally I find the best way is to check the color on the wires. You just have to pop off the faceplate to see the hole mentioned above. The best outcome of course is if they are white which means a BenQ drive. Using JungleFlasher they can be modded in under one minute.
